  1. After his earlier label African Jazz, Joseph Kabasele (aka "Le Grand Kalle") found in this label with the help of the Belgian company Fonior. Kabasele marketed his label exclusively in Congo (Léopoldville) while Fonior received the distribution rights for Europe and the rest of Africa. Do not confuse with the series Surboum.
  2. French series for Decca / Disques Decca releases. Volume numbers are shared with similar series Surboum African Jazz (2) and Surboum Africaine. EPs may combine singles previously released by Surboum African Jazz or CEFA.
  3. French series for Decca / Disques Decca / Omega (2) releases. Also known as "Surboum African" for recordings by Orchestre African Fiesta. Volume numbers are shared with similar series Surboum O.K. Jazz and Surboum Africaine. EPs may combine singles previously released by Surboum African Jazz .
  4. OK Jazz, later renamed TPOK Jazz (short for Tout Puissant Orchestre Kinshasa, "all-powerful Kinshasa orchestra"), was a Congolese rumba band from the Democratic Republic of the Congo established in and fronted by Franco.
